Parent Information - Holiday Camps
Auckland FC's Football School allows young players to train like the professionals in a fun, supportive and inspiring environment.
Designed for boys and girls aged 7 - 13, our programmes are led by official Auckland FC coaches and are built on the same football philosophy and training methodology used by Auckland FC’s A-League Men’s team, developed in partnership with AFC Bournemouth.
This gives players access to the same principles, structures and training approach used at the highest level of the game.
Whether your child is just starting their football journey or looking to take the next step on their journey, Auckland FC's Football School is the place to be.
Our multi-day football camps keep your child active, inspired and social throughout the school holidays! Here’s what you need to know:
What does my child need to bring and wear?
Please ensure your child brings shin pads, football boots, running shoes, football socks, a drink bottle and any medication they may need. Shin pads are compulsory to ensure every young person’s safety on the pitch. Sports trainers are required, in addition to football boots, in case adverse weather means we move indoors.
For Holiday Camps, our participants will be provided with an Auckland FC Football School shirt and shorts on their first day. Please provide your child with a packed lunch and snacks for the day (food containing peanuts is not permitted).
We also recommend bringing a jumper, a rain jacket, a towel, and any personal medical items your child may require.
For safety reasons, watches and jewellery must not be worn. Earrings that cannot be removed must be taped.
Sun safety is important. Please ensure sunscreen is applied before heading out onto the pitch, and that your child is aware of the importance of re-applying throughout the day.
Can parents and guardians observe the sessions?
Parents and guardians are welcome to observe sessions at the start of the day. However, we ask that you remain outside the pitch and within the designated viewing areas at all times. We also ask that you refrain from giving instructions to young people during the sessions, allowing our coaches to do their best work!
What are the timings for the day?
Registration opens: 8.45am
Skills warm-up begins: 9am
Group sessions start: 9.30am
Lunch: 12pm
Camp finish and pick up: 2pm
Please arrive on time for pick-up. The Auckland FC coaching team must be off-site at the end of our facility booking.
Who coaches the sessions?
Sessions are led by official Auckland FC Football School coaches, trained in the official Black Knights Football Group methodology. This is the same approach used at both Auckland FC and our Premier League partner club, AFC Bournemouth.
All coaches hold a current Police Check and safeguarding training, ensuring every session is safe, professional, and designed to help players grow on and off the pitch.
What should I do if I need to cancel a session?
Please let us know at your earliest convenience if your child is not able to attend a session. You can do this by emailing footballschool@aucklandfc.co.nz
Although you won’t receive a refund, we are always happy to provide you with a credit note to be used at a future camp or session.
