What is the Auckland FC Football School?
Auckland FC's Football School allows young players to train like the professionals in a fun, supportive and inspiring environment.
Designed for boys and girls aged 7 - 13, our programmes are led by official Auckland FC coaches and are built on the same football philosophy and training methodology used by Auckland FC’s A-League Men’s team, developed in partnership with AFC Bournemouth.
This gives players access to the same principles, structures and training approach used at the highest level of the game.
Whether your child is just starting their football journey or looking to take the next step on their journey, Auckland FC's Football School is the place to be.

What does my child need to bring?
Please ensure your child brings football socks, shin pads, boots, running shoes, a drink bottle and any medication they may need.
For Holiday Camps, our participants will be provided with an Auckland FC Football School shirt and shorts on their first day.
What should I do if I need to cancel a session?
Please let us know at your earliest convenience if your child is not able to attend a session. You can do this by emailing footballschool@aucklandfc.co.nz

Young people will be grouped by age. We provide a pathway to ensure that each child is challenged appropriately to their individual learning requirements, and each coach is trained to adapt to each young person's ability.

Pricing varies by programme. Full details are available on the registration pages for each camp and session.
How long does a session run for?
Timing varies by programme. Full details are available on the registration pages for each camp and session.
Does my child have to wear the training kit?
It is compulsory to wear the Auckland FC training kit at any camp where it has been provided. If our kit is not provided at your session (e.g. Weekly clinics or In-term sessions), participants can wear their own choice of kit.
Who coaches the sessions?
Sessions are led by official Auckland FC Football School coaches, trained in the official Black Knights Football Group methodology. This is the same approach used at both Auckland FC and our Premier League partner club, AFC Bournemouth.
All coaches hold a current Police Check and safeguarding training, ensuring every session is safe, professional, and designed to help players grow on and off the pitch.
Do you have a safeguarding policy?
Yes. Your child's safety is very important to us. Please see our Child Safeguarding Policy here.
Specific Camp & Session Information:
Below is information that should help you feel ready for any Football School session. However, you can be sure that you'll receive all the info you need to get started, via email, ahead of your first day/session!
Arrival Time
Registration for every camp opens 15 minutes before the start time.
Footwear
Football boots are recommended for all sessions. Sports trainers are sufficient if the session is on turf. We recommend bringing both football boots and sports trainers to every session, in case adverse weather means we move indoors.
Spectator Policy
Parents and guardians are welcome to observe sessions. However, we ask that you remain outside the pitch and within the designated viewing areas at all times.
Shin Pads
Shin pads are compulsory for all participants to ensure their safety on the pitch.
Hydration and nutrition
Please bring a refillable water bottle. Staying hydrated is essential for performance and well-being. We recommend bringing a healthy snack to eat away from the pitch post-session, and lunch will be required for all holiday camps.
Lunch & Snacks
Players should bring their own lunch for School Holiday Camps, and healthy snacks for all other sessions. Please note that food containing peanuts is not permitted.
Sun Protection
Sun safety is important. Please ensure sunscreen is applied before heading out onto the pitch, and that your child is aware of the importance of re-applying throughout the day.
Watches & Jewellery
For safety reasons, watches and jewellery must not be worn. Earrings that cannot be removed must be taped.
Additional Items
We recommend bringing a rain jacket, a jumper, a towel, and any personal medical items your child may require.
